Mrs. Dorothy Alameda Middleton, the wife of Mr. W. S. Middleton, Jr., Pomona merchant and postmaster, passed away early Wednesday morning at their home, following a short illness.

The deceased was born in New York State, but had been a resident of Pomona since moving there from Pennsylvania in 1922. She was married to Mr. Middleton in 1926. She was held in the love and esteem of the entire community, where she had made her home for the greater part of her adult years.

She is survived by her husband; one son, William Sands Middleton; her father, O. L. Sands of New York City; her mother, Mrs. A. O. Blake, and a sister, Mrs. Marjorie Kinsman, both of Seelyville, Pa.

Funeral services will be held this Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Congregational Church at Pomona, with Rev. M. J. Sweat officiating. Burial in Eden Cemetery at Crescent City.
