Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 15, 2009, for Willie Mae Wright Clay, age 83, of Roswell, who passed away April 12, 2009. Rev. Randy Elftman of Central Church of the Nazarene will officiate with interment to follow at South Park Cemetery.

Willie was born Feb. 2, 1926, in DeQueen, Ark., to Frank and Betty Christenot. They both have preceded her in death, as well as a son: Thomas Dale Wright; two brothers: Henry James Christenot and Ather Christenot; and two sisters: Margie Preston and Nettie Granthom.

Willie married John R. Clay on Dec. 6, 1952, in Roswell. He has also preceded her in death.

Willie is survived by her daughter: Wanda Louise Lawson; a brother: Johnny Forrest Christenot; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Willie was a waitress. She was a member of the Central Church of the Nazarene.
