Iris married Ray Barker 31-Jan-1946. He died in 1970. She married second Nolan T. Blaisdell 21-Sep-1971.

MALAD — Iris Ipsen Barker Blaisdell, 81, of Malad, passed away on Dec. 12, 2007, in the Oneida County Long Term Care. She was a graduate of Malad High School and attended B.Y.U. Iris married Ray Barker Jan. 31, 1946, in the Logan LDS Temple. Following their marriage, they lived for three years in Bear River City, Utah. They returned to Malad, where Ray farmed and ranched. Ray died of a sudden heart attack on June 1, 1970.
Iris married Nolan T. Blaisdell Sept. 21, 1971. They farmed and ranched in the Malad area for many years, until Nolan's death on Nov. 12, 2004.
Iris loved music and had a wonderful gift at piano and organ. She shared that talent at church, funerals and for the enjoyment of those at the nursing home as well as at other events. She also enjoyed all handwork, crocheting and sewing.
Iris was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had served in many callings through the years. A highlight of her life was being able to serve an LDS mission to Nigeria with her husband Nolan.
Iris is survived by her children, Steven (Sheila) Barker of Salt Lake City, Utah; Thayne (Margaret) Barker of Malad; Sherman (Dianne) Barker of Pocatello; LaNette (Brad) Wilks of Paris, Idaho; step-children, Janice (Hunter) Barrus of Deweyville, Utah.; Nolan A. (Mary) Blaisdell of Malad; Dean (Lorie) Blaisdell of Malad; sisters; Leora Brown, Florence Bowman, Carol (Don) Eliason; sister-in-law, Kathy Ipsen; a brother; Grant (Eddie) Ipsen; 14 grandchildren; 9 step-grandchildren; 18 greatgrandchildren and many step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and a brother; Foster Ipsen.
