Born Jan. 30, 1937, in Savannah, TN, son of Reba Lorena Allison Kerr of Savannah and the late Cornelius Kerr, he was a minister of administration for Temple Baptist Church in Sullivan, where he was a member.
On Dec. 20, 1963, in Memphis, TN, he married Sandra Faulkner who survives of the home.
Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include: three sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Cheryl Kerr, Cary and Jennifer Kerr, and Keith and Tammy Kerr; one sister, Kay Humphreys; and seven grandchildren, Alex Kerr, Abby Kerr, Alia Kerr, Amelia Kerr, Nate Kerr, Justin Kerr and Caden Kerr.
Visitation was at Temple Baptist Church, where services are scheduled. Scott Perry, pastor, officiated.
Graveside services were conducted at the Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid.
Eaton Funeral Home of Sullivan was in charge of arrangements.
