Mrs. Mittie Hill Tate, age 73, of Greenwood Springs, MS (Sipsey Fork Community), passed away Friday, March 18, 2011 at her residence. Mrs. Tate is the wife of Dennis Tate. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 21, 2011, at 11:00 am from the New Center Point Freewill Baptist Church with burial in Pickle Cemetery. Bro. Kelvin Price and Bro. Don Taggart will be officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6-8pm.

Mrs. Tate was born in Lee County, on October 16, 1937, to the late Herman and Lillie Bell Box Hill. She previously worked at McCoy Manufacturing and Monroe Trouser. In her spare time she enjoyed sitting with people in the community, working with flowers and crocheting. She was a member of New Center Point Freewill Baptist Church.
