Bernard J. Hoyer, age 94, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 4, 2012. He was born to the late Francis and Wallace Hoyer on January 26, 1917 in Beaverdale, PA. Bernard was a friendly and hard working husband, father, and friend. He enjoyed deer hunting and spending time with family. In addition to his parents, Bernard was preceded in death by his son Jim Hoyer, siblings Ruth, Genevieve, Wallace and Leo Hoyer.
He is survived by his loving wife of 75 years, Martha Hoyer; children, Regis (Barbara) Hoyer, Mary Biddle, and Paul Hoyer; five grand-children, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, January 8, 2012 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd., Columbus, OH 43229, where service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 9, 2012.
