Wonderful Husband and Father full of love, life, happiness and laughter went home to be with the Lord after almost 96 wonderful years on this Earth.
Al grew up in Spokane attending Lewis and Clark High School and graduating from Otis Orchards High School in 1931.
Al worked for an auto-body repairshop for many years before joining the insurance industry and retiring in 1983 as Vice President of Northwestern Life Insurance.

Al was madly in love and shared his life with his beautiful wife Lucille (Taylor) for 75 years. Together they served the Lord in many ways at the Spokane Valley Church of the Nazerene.

Al was an avid bowler and loved fishing, boating and all sorts of sports. He and Lucille loved going on trips with their RV getting out in the great open spaces when time allowed. Al and Lucille also took great joy and pride in their gardening.

All of us in his family and all us that knew him will forever have an empty space in our hearts not being able to share all the great stories being told and the non-stop jokes and laughter. We just never wanted to leave when we were around Al. He was a very happy-go-lucky man who loved staying busy and interacting with every person he came in contact with. You know you would be laughing and smiling by the time you ended your time around Al.

Al is Proceeded in death by his son Alfred Jr. (bud) Allen and his daughter Marion Allen-Davis.
He leaves behind his wife of 75 years Lucille, Daughter Faye Braun and sons Mel and Ron Allen as well as his daughter-in-law Nancy Allen. Left behind are 14 Grandchildren, 25 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great-great Grandchildren.



Cause of Death: Kidney Failuer/Natural causes
