Funeral service for Mrs Annie Rex Barton was held Saturday in the New Life Pentecostal Holiness church in Tuttle, with Rev Bill Murr & Rev S.N. Greene officiating. Music was furnished by soloist, Hardin Greene and a trio of Mrs Gayla Waitman, Mrs Armeta Jackson, & Mrs H.C. Kettler. Pallbearers were Bobby Wallace, Dennis Caves, Danny Oden, Tommy Barton, Ted Mapes, & Maurice Oden. Mrs Barton was born 1/26/1898 in Collinsville, Tex. She moved to Oklahoma as a young woman. Her husband preceded her in death in 1968. She has been a resident of Tuttle for 20 years. She died in the Southern Oaks Nursing home, Oklahoma City. She had been in failing health for the past 10 years. Survivors include 5 daughters, Mrs Rachel Wallace, Mrs Bernice Evans, Mrs Mary Nell Perry, Mrs Alvine Norman, & Mrs Lucille Mapes, all of Oklahoma City, 1 son, Will Barton Jr of Oklahoma City, 1 step-son, Henry Barton of Ranger, Tex, 26 grandchildren, & 9 great grandchildren. Interment was in the Fairview cemetery, Tuttle, under direction of Sevier funeral home.
