The L.D. S. chapel of Glenns Ferry was filled with grieving friends who gathered Wednesday, May 27th at 2 o'clock to pay last respects to Lettie Ann Thurman Thomsen who succumbed Saturday May 23, of heart trouble, which developed from a paralytic stroke that she had two years ago.
Bishop Potter officiated and the opening song was "O My Father". A sketch of Mrs. Thomsen's life was given by a brother, Charles Thurman, Song "Beautiful Isle of somewhere," a duet, "Perfect day" and closing song "Resting now from Care and Sorrow".
Ex Bishop Rose was the first speaker and Bishop Porter second speaker, he explained the plan of life and salvation, and quoted scripture to prove doctrine of the resurrection.
Pall bearers were four sons and two son-in-laws of the deceased and included, Adelbert, Lowell, Leonard and Ted Thomsen. Ed Grimmett and Mr. Pierce.
Mrs Thomsen was born October 4, 1874 in Hyde Park Utah and in October 1900 she was married to Joseph Thomsen in the Logan Temple. She is survived by her husband Joseph Thomsen four sons Adelbert Lowell, Leonard and Ted of Glenns ferry, two daughters Vera Grimmett of Glenns Ferry and Edna Pierce of Boise, Idaho. Her mother Mrs. E.M. Thurman of Grover and the following brothers and sisters. Ed. Thurman, Grover, Andrew Thurman, Logan, Utah, Ray Thurman Grover, Charles Thurman, Blackfoot, Idaho Dr. Marion Thurman, Grangerville Idaho, Mary Hepworth, Blackfoot Idaho, Milessa Pead of Grover, Bertha Beutler, Katie O'Keefe, Hattie Alleman of Afton, Matilda Currier of Granger Wyo., and Nellie Dewey of Emmett, Idaho.
Interment was in the Glenns Ferry cemetery.
Relatives from Utah and many points of Idaho were present.
