Mrs. Katie Parker

Winnsboro - Funeral Services for Mrs. Katie Mae Parker, 62, of Winnsboro, were to be at 2 p.m. today at Wayside Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Jesse Boothe and the Rev. Jack Jones officiating.

Burial was to be in Providence Memorial Park under the direction of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home.

Mrs. Parker died early Thursday morning at her residence after a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Parker was the mother of Franklin Parish Sheriff Eugene Parker. She was a member of Wayside Pentecostal Church.

Survivors, in addition to Sheriff Parker include, her husband George Parker, Sr. of Winnsboro; three sons, John M. Parker and Alvin Parker, both of Winnsboro and George Parker, Jr. of Houston, Tex; two sister, Mrs. Hattie Favors of Winnsboro and Mrs. Eva Willard of Natchez, Miss.; five brothers, Pete (Alvin) Lupo, Jack (Alton) Lupo, and Shorty (James Marvin) Lupo, all of Winnsboro, Henry Lupo of Tallulah, and Claude Lupo of Delhi; and eight grandchildren.
