The funeral services for Samuel McGhee, who died Sunday evening at a Coffeyville hospital, were held at the Methodist church in Tyro Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. R. L. Kuhns conducted the services, assisted by Rev. Schooley of the Christian church. The little church was packed to capacity with the friends of the family who gathered to show their sympathy for the bereaved widow and children., Mr. McGhee was injured when a machine used for cleaning out oil wells broke on the Harding lease, east of Tyro, last Saturday. He was so seriously injured that no hopes were entertained for his recovery at any time. Mr. McGhee had been a resident of Tyro for about thirteen years. He leaves to mourn his departure from this life a widow and eight children. Interment was at Robbins cemetery beside his little son, who died a year ago. Our little community extends heartfelt sympathy to Mrs. McGhee in this sad hour of grief.
