He was retired from Riegel Textile Corporation and was a member of First Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, Willie C. Emerson Jr. of Waterloo; five daughters, Mrs. Joyce Adams of Donalds, Mrs. Maurine Davis, Mrs. Gail Horne and Mrs. Jo Ann Clamp, all of Ware Shoals, and Mrs. Sue Armstrong of Simpsonville; 19 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services by Parker-White Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be grandsons. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The family is at the home of Maurine Davis, 53 E. Cork St.
