MARTY SCOTT RICHARDSON

Marty Scott Richardson, 40, of Ewing, died at 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2005, in Good Samaritan RHC in Mt. Vernon, IL.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, at the Immanuel Baptist Church in Benton.

Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Ewing.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, to the Church. Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home in Benton is handling the arrangements.

Mr. Richardson was born Aug. 15, 1965, in Benton, the son of Dale and Janice Gifford Richardson.
He married the former Karen Manalang on July 28, 1990, and she survives.
He was a farmer and seed dealer and a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Benton. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Richardson, of Ewing; two sons, Hayden and Landon, of Ewing; his parents, Dale and Janice, of Ewing; two brothers, Mark, of Ewing, and Tim and wife, Melissa, of Benton; three nephews; a niece, Whitley, of Benton; aunts and uncles, and several cousins.

Mr. Richardson was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Roy and Martha Richardson, maternal grandparents, John and Vergene Gifford, and two aunts, Janette Aaron and June Greenwood.
