Services will be held 2 p.m, Saturday in Blue Creek Advent Christian Church for Mrs.Martha Ann Thompson,a life long resident of Elkview,who died Thursday in a Montgomery hospital.She was 89 years old.Rev.Harvey Hendershot will be in charge of services and burial will be in Jarrett cemetery. Surviving are four sons, Rev.Wilbur of Chelyan, Henry of Las Vegas, N. M. William and David of Elkview; a daughter, Mrs. Worthy Jarvis of Belle; four sisters, Mrs.Jim Jones of Elkview, Mrs.Minnie Monk of Charleston, Mrs.Maggie Monk of Kanawha C i t y and Mrs. Rose Shaffer of Sissonville;a brother, Wilbur Burgess of Charleston, and 26 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was the daughter of Nathaniel Burgess and Mary Ann McMillian Burgess. She was married to William G Thomson and they had five children.
