MARJORIE IONE BIRCH

Marjorie Ione Birch, 90, of Bandera, passed away Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009.

She was born on May 23, 1918, to Charles and Margaret Howard Rogerson in San Bernardino, California.

As a young woman, Marjorie served for many years as a missionary in Africa. Throughout her life, she continued to have a deep passion for Africa. She served as organist at Walker Memorial Baptist Church since the inception of the church. Marjorie was one of the finest Christian women ever known and will be deeply missed.

Survivors include sister, Marian Trout, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Majorie was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Phillip Birch, as well as sister Jean Trout and brother Charles Trout.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, March 4, at Walker Memorial Baptist Church with Brother Bill McGarity and Brother Ken Brown officiating.
