27 March 1911: Jacob B. Lehman died on Sunday at his home in Prescott from senile debility, following an illness of four weeks. He was 77 years old and leaves a wife and two daughters, Mrs. Edward Showers, of Prescott, and Mrs. Reber, of this city. He was a Union soldier during the War of the Rebellion and a member of the G.A.R. At one time, he was engaged in the business of buying and selling horses. He was a member of Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church and was held in high esteem in the community in which he lived. The funeral will be held on Thursday afternoon, with services at 1:30 o'clock in Friedens church and interment in the Union Cemetery, at Myerstown. [Lebanon Daily News]
