RELEY PAUL CAMPBELL
Riley Paul Campbell was born in Dixon, Mo. on October 9, 1909 tthe son of James Riley and Sarah Adaline Davis Campbell and passed away in the Phelps County Regional Health Center in Rolla on Thursday, September 11, 1986. He had attained the age of 76 years.
He was united in marriage to Hazel McDowell on December 12, 1936 and unto this union 1 daughter and 3 sons were born. She preceded him on November 27, 1976.
Riley was a member of the Christian Church and a past deacon and elder. He worked at Ft. Leonard Wood as a furniture repairman from March 26, 1951 until March 26, 1977. He was a member of the Arlington Masonic Lodge #346 and was a past master and the Garnet Chapter #283 Order of the Eastern Star being a past patron several times. He served in World War II as a cook, was an auctioneer clerk in this area for 45 years, was the President of the Dixon Khoury League for several years and worked with teams for 20 years. He loved to hunt and fish and was a skilled woodcrafts-man and loved to make fiddles.
He is survived by his daughter Louise Juergens of Dixon, 3 sons, and daughters-in-law, Charles and Debby of DeSoto, Harold and Barbara and Greg and Helen of Dixon, 2 sisters, Grace Jennings of Dixon and Oma Wooster of Rolla? 1 brother Frank Campbell^jf-fiixon, 8 grandchildren^ Jason, (^GjthonyJ Bradley and (§ndp Campbell^ JSyT PaS and Danny Juergens andJulte Pendletonuahd^ great -gran dcnildreh , NichoIasTCurtis ,
preceded in death by his parents, wife, 2 brothers, Joe and Archie and 1 son-in-law William Juergens. Funeral seivitts 'weffi he!3 in the Long Funeral Chapel' on Sunday, September 14, 1986 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Harold Withers and Rev. Ed Hamilton officiating. Burial was in the Dixon Cemetery. Organist was Carlene McMillian and serving as his pallbearers were Jim and Gaude Campbell, Elroy McMillian, George Harsch, Randy Pendleton and Wilbur Warman. Honorary pallbearers were Warden Russell, Everett Newberry, Bruce Richey, Paris Claiborn, Walter Dickens and Louie Hancock. Masonic services were held in the Long Chapel on Saturday evening
