Age 61, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2009 at her residence. She was born on August 26, 1947 in Owosso the daughter of George A. and Marilyn (Parisian) Durant.
Sharon enjoyed camping, driving school bus for special needs children as well as St. Patrick sporting events. She was preceded in death by her father; daughters Theresa Lynn Hodge and Sandra Jean Hodge; brother-in-law Robert L. Hodge. Surviving are her husband William R. Hodge of Flint; son William P. Hodge of Ionia; daughter Jody M. Hodge of Flint; grandaughters Ayla M. Hodge of Elkton, MD and Amanda A. Hodge of Lyons; grandsons Gary L. Maclam III of Flint and William R. Hodge of Lyons; great granddaughter Amanda A. Hodge of Elkton, MD; mother Marilyn Durant of Flint; brother George R. (Shane) Durant of Deltona, FL; aunts Arlene Post of Flint and Ada Schafer of Lansing; mother-in-law Geraldine Hodge of Portland; brothers-in-law Gary (Barb) Hodge of Portland, Ron (Sue) Hodge of Grand Ledge, John (Mary) Vanderloan of Andoven, MN and Mike (Sherry) Hodge of Portland; sisters-in-law Irene Miller of Woodland, Connie (Chuck) Carr of Portland, Linda (Doug) Brown of Portland, and Jane (Keith) Pline of Portland; many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be conducted by Rev. Dr. Marilyn V. Danielson at 2:30 p.m., Friday, April 17, 2009 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland.
