Funeral for Wilma Margaret (Harlan) Blenz, 89, will be today at 1 p.m. at Danekas Funeral Chapel in Colville.

Mrs. Blenz, a lifelong resident of the Kettle Falls and Colville areas, died Wednesday.

She was born on her grandfather's homestead south of Cheney. Her family lived in the Leadpoint, Wash., area until 1924, when they moved to Colville.

Mrs. Blenz attended the Leadpoint Grade School, and in 1933 she graduated from Colville High School.

In 1936 she married Lloyd Blenz, and the couple lived on the Blenz family farm between Kettle Falls and Colville. Her husband died in 1996.

Her hobbies included embroidery, crocheting, quilting, dancing and writing poetry. She also cooked many meals for ranch hands.

Survivors include four sisters, Norma Nasburg, Elaine Windsor, Elva Mote and Jeanne Hole, all of Spokane; and three grandchildren.
