Funeral services were held Tuesday in Klamath Falls, Ore., for Joe Mixon, 70, Klamath Falls, who died Friday in the Veterans Hospital at Roseburg, Ore.
Mixon, formerly of Cisco and Idabel, died after a lengthy illness. He was the son of the late John K. and Susie Mixon of Idabel. He married the former Ruby Stidham in July, 1950, then moved to Klamath Falls where the couple resided for 38 years.
Mixon served in the U.S. Army for five years, until receiving a medical discharge in 1945. He is a retired employee of the Kalpine Company in Klamath Falls.
Survivors include his wife Ruby of the home; three daughters, Betty Lou Roland and Diane Thurman of Eugene, Ore., and Janet Florez of Klamatha Falls; a brother, Charles R. Mixon of Minden, La.; three sisters, Dorothy Dollarhite of Tulsa, Gladys Brooks of La Miranda, Calif., and Louise M. Mixon of Idabel; seven grandchildren and severl nieces and nephews, and his mother-in-law, Betty Stidham of Klamath Falls.
