JOSEPH H SCHNELL
Joseph H. Schnell, 84, of 22722 Fish and Game Road, Kiel, died Monday morning at his home.
He was born Aug 21, 1901, in rural Kiel, the son of Henry and Christina Gilsdorf Schnell. He attended Ss. Peter and Paul Grade School in Kiel. He was married to Clara Schneider on June 30, 1925, at St. Wendel Catholic Church in Cleveland. She died on Jan. 27, 1962. Mr. Schnell farmed on the family homestead his entire life. He was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society.
Survivors include four sons, Eugene, J. Kenneth, Joseph and Robert, all of rural Kiel; a daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Mary) Propson of Hilbert; 25 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a sister, Katherine Schnell of Manitowoc. Mr. Schnell was preceded in death by a grandson and two sisters.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the Rev. Thomas Leannah, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
