Born June 15, 1937, in Huxley, he was the son of A.H. Vaughn and Hazel English Vaughn. He was graduated form Shelbyville High and owner of Jack's Saw Shop. Mr. Vaughn was married to Kathryn Vaughn, and she preceded him in death.
Survivors include daughters, Deidra Hughes and Sheri Hribal, both of Center; son, Darren Vaughn of Center; mother, Hazel Vaughn of Huxley; sisters, Marie Permenter of Huxley and Janice Moody of Center; brothers, Marlie Vaughn of Shelbyville, Prentice Vaughn of Huxley, Robert Jerry Vaughn of Houston, Larry Vaughn, Jackie Vaughn, and Gerald Vaughn, all of Huxley, Waylon Vaughn of Center.
