Actor. Born Isser Kac in Poland, he began his career performing on stage with a Yiddish speaking troupe in Warsaw, Poland and at the Kulturbund Deutschen Berlin, Germany. In 1937, he came to Hollywood, where he established himself as a popular movie villain character in the 1940s and 1950s. A veteran of over 80 films, his credits included "Watch on the Rhine" (1943), "The Mummy's Curse" (1944), "Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves" (1944), "Rendezvous 24" (1946), "Abbott and Costello Meet the Mummy" (1955) and "The Young Lions" (1958). For television, he appeared on "Space Patrol", "TV Reader's Digest", "Navy Log", "The Adventures of Jim Bowie" and many more. He died at age 62 in Los Angeles, California.
