Entering the military on June 13, 1944 at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. He was assigned as Light Truck Driver to Troop B, 87th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron, 7th Armored Division.

He sacraficed his life near Medebach, Hochsauerland, North Rhine- Westphalia, Germany
