Lucy Ruth Shelley Reynolds, 90, passed onto her "eternal reward" June 24, 1998, in Provo, Utah.

She was born June 30, 1907, in American Fork, Utah, as the fourth of seven children to George F. and Mary Annie Jacklin Shelley.

She married Thomas V. Reynolds Sr. in the Salt Lake LDS Temple November 23, 1938.

Thomas died on January 12, 1997.

Lucy was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She was active in the LDS Church, and enjoyed music, and teaching primary and Jr. Sunday School for 57 years.

She loved and nurtured living things, both plants and people. Her greatest joy came from seeing others happy.

She enjoyed visiting, and made both family and friends feel welcome.

She helped raise her stepchildren and grandchildren.

She faithfully remembered others' birthdays.

She is survived by her children: Carla (Jim) Wind, Taylorsville; Wayne (Shirley) Reynolds, Orem; Ralph Reynolds, Provo; Marilyn Reynolds, Provo; and stepchildren: Reta (Kelly) Hall, St. George; Thomas (Donna) Reynolds, Jr., Washington; and Lenford Reynolds, Old Towne, Florida; 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; and one brother, Carl (Edna) Shelley; and two sisters, Ethel (Jim) Fuller, of Falls Church, VA; and Fern (Marvin) Allen, of American Fork.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; brother, Frank (Fannie) Shelley; sisters, Mada (Demarr) Dudley; and Edna (Charles) Walker.

Funeral service will be held Monday, June 29, 1998, at 11 a.m., in the Provo Sixth Ward LDS Chapel, 888 South Freedom Blvd. (200 West).

Friends may call Sunday evening, from 6-8 p.m., at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center Street, or Monday morning, at the ward chapel, one hour prior to service.

Interment, American Fork City Cemetery.
