Steinmann.- John, son of the late Christian and Maria (Honderich) Steinmann, was born near Baden, Ont., Aug. 18, 1853; died at his home in Wellesley, Ont., on Feb. 18, 1942; aged 88 y. 6 m. He united with the Amish Mennonite Church in his youth and remained faithful to the end. On Sept. 18, 1877, he was united in marriage to Susannah Gascho and together they shared the joys and sorrows of lile for more than 64 years. He leaves his aged companion, 3 sons, 4 daughters, 13 grandchildren, 3 sisters, and many relatives and friends.

Retired Wellesley District Farmer Passes

John Steinman, 88, of Wellesley, died last Wednesday, night at his home following a lengthy illness. He was born near Baden on Aug. 18, 1853. He was a well known farmer of the 5th Line, Wellesley, retiring 25 years ago. He was a member of the 3rd line A.-M. Church.

Surviving are his wife, nee Susannah Gascho, to whom he was married Sept. 18, 1877, three sons, four daughters, three sisters and 13 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Saturday from the residence to the 3rd Line Church and interment was made in the adjoining cemetery. Bishop Jacob Lichti of Wellesley was in charge.
