Joe C. Adams, 65, of the 9th Street Trailer Court, died at his home early Friday morning following a sudden illness.

Born Jan. 24, 1913, in Handford, Texas, his family lived in the Southern states until 1938 when they moved to Estancia, NM.

He married Leona Pace on Dec. 25, 1935, in Los Lunas, NM. They made their home in New Mexico until moving to Bridgeport in 1953.

Adams was engaged in orcharding and also construction work in the area. He came to Wenatchee two years ago following his retirement.

Adams was a member of the East Wenatchee Church of Christ, the Carpenter's Union, Wenatchee Aerie No. 204, FOE and Senior Citizens.

Surviving are four sons, Bob, Fred and Brett Adams, all of East Wenatchee, and Buck Adams in Virginia; two daughters, Lynell Hill, Spokane and Mrs. John (Dixie) Niles, Bellevue; his former wife, Leona Adams, East Wenatchee; four brothers, Dale Adams, Wenatchee, Lewis Adams and Bill Adams, both of Brewster, and Blackie Adams, Bridgeport Bar; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

Services were held in Telford's Chapel of the Valley Tuesday at 2 o'clock with Mr. Billy G. Jackson officiating. Concluding services and interment followed in Evergreen Memorial Park. Arrangements by Telford's Chapel of the Valley.
