"Family visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday April 15, 2008 at Stevens Funeral Home. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
"Wanda is survived by her husband, Johnny Bates of Abilene, her son, David Bates and his wife, Tefany, of Abilene; her daughter, Tammy Gutierrez of Abilene; her mother, Wanda Jean Mason of Coleman; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Janice Mason of Long Grove, Oklahoma, Joe and Sarah Mason of Coleman; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Toni and Delbert Strength of Talpa, Linda Mason of Coleman; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Alton and Rosa Lou Bates of Andrews, Ronald and Betty Bates of Waco, Carolyn and John Pricer of Crawford; four grandchildren, Sonny Bates and Erin Bates, Cory Gutierrez and Angel Gutierrez, all of Abilene and several nieces and nephews.
"She was preceded in death by her father.
"In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be sent to Hendrick Hospice, 1901 Pine Street, Abilene, Texas 79601."
