A second person has died of injuries suffered in an April 4 crash in Santa Rosa County.

The driver of a Jeep involved in the wreck has been charged with several counts, including DUI manslaughter and vehicular homicide.

Teresa Lunsford, 27, of Milton was pronounced dead at 10:17 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Hospital, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Lunsford was riding with James Dixon, 58, of Milton, who was killed when his Chevrolet pickup was struck head-on by a Jeep sport utility vehicle shortly after 4 p.m., the FHP said.

The Jeep's driver, June Coriell, 51, of Milton was northbound in the southbound lane of State Road 87 when the vehicles collided, FHP said. Coriell was also hospitalized.

Coriell was arrested Friday at Sacred Heart Hospital when she was discharged. She is charged with two counts of DUI manslaughter, two counts of DUI with serious bodily injury, vehicular homicide, driving without insurance and driving on the wrong side of the road.

Coriell was originally booked into the Escambia County Jail upon arrest but was immediately transferred to the Santa Rosa County Jail. She remained in jail Sunday with no bond, jail officials said.

One of the Dixon's three passengers — Celina Crapps, 7, of Milton was thrown from the truck, FHP said. Another passenger, Melissa Hopkins, 8, was also injured.

Both were hospitalized at Sacred Heart Hospital. Their conditions were not available this afternoon.
