Surviving are two sons, Leonard Blackwell of Bedford, IN, and Robert Blackwell of Woodville, AL; caregiver, Thelma McPike of Bedford; one brother, Birtle Blackwell of Bedford, IN; one half-brother, Dale Deckard of Bedford, IN; four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Earl Blackwell; one sister, Bertha Bartlett; two half0sisters, Oma Bartlett and Lorene Lewis.
He was a retired cream station operator and janitor for the Bedford Armory. He was a member of the Judah Church of Christ.
