Viola Barckley,96,of Elgin passed away Thursday,November 25,2004 in the Tower Hill Health Care Center,South Elgin, IL. She was born on November 3,1908 in Lima Center,WI and was the daughter of William and Mabel Dixon. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Elgin.
She is survived by three children,Arden Barckley of Elgin, MariEl Frlkenberg of Elgen and Bonita (Mark) Perkiser of Genoa,IL;10 grand children;7 great-grandchildren;her sister-in-law Mary Dixon of Janesville,WI*;and her daughter-in-law, Ann Barckley.
She was preceded in death by her parents;her husand,Alvin Barckley in 1974;a sister,Eva Higgins;a brother,Harold Dixon; and her great grandson,Nathan McIlvaine.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday at 2PM in the Laird Funeral Home,Elgin. Burial will be private. visitation will be on Tuesday from 1PM until the time of services in the funeral home.
