Maxine M. Hale, 82, of Vanduser, died at 10:41 a.m. March 30, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
Born Aug. 8, 1921, in Tiptonville, TN, daughter of the late Fred Mack and Nadas Mae Stevens Jones, she was a member of the Vanduser Baptist Church.
On Oct. 5, 1940, at Benton, she married Jack Hale who preceded her in death on Sept. 16, 1992.
Survivors include: one son, Rodney Hale; four daughters, Nadas Drew, Charlotte Hale, Bonnie Vincent, and Debbie Freeman; one brother, Billy Mack Jones four sisters, Shirley Marshall, Imogene Hudson, Carolyn Jones and Glenda Foxworth; and eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were one son, Roger Hale; one brother, Richard Jones; her stepmother, Frances Sue Jones; one granddaughter-in-law, Tressie Drew; and one great-granddaughter, Maxine Drew.
Visitation was at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston where services were conducted. Dan Richardson, minister of the Vanduser Church of Christ, and the Rev. Glenn Rogers, pastor of the Vanduser Baptist Church, officiated.
Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
