Viola A. Wallace, nee Rosenberger, 85, of Granite City, Ill., born Dec. 25, 1919, in Gorham, Ill., died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005, at Rosewood Care Center, Edwardsville, Ill.
Mrs. Wallace was a homemaker. She was a member of Third Baptist Church, Granite City, Ill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas T. Wallace, whom she married May 4, 1940; and who died Oct. 13, 1999; her parents, Charles and Bettie, nee Bean, Rosenberger; and a sister, Virginia L. Peters. Surviving are a son, Marvin (Eileen) Wallace of Glen Carbon, Ill.; a daughter, Debbie (Jim) Winkler of Granite City, Ill.; and four grandchildren, Jenifer Hart, Kristin Winkler, Jason and Derek. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital.
Visitation: Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, 2005, at Irwin Maryville Chapel, Granite City, Ill. Funeral: Funeral services will be held at noon Monday, Feb. 14, 2005, at Irwin Maryville Road Chapel, Granite City, Ill., with the Rev. Mark Powell officiating.
