Funeral services in tribute to her life will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 30th, at the Smyser Christian Church, northwest of Gays, IL, with the Reverend Richard Coen officiating.
Burial will be at a later date. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the Schilling Funeral Home.
Debbie was born September 19, 1955, in Mattoon, a daughter of John Carlos and Lyndal Jean (Windham) Hood.
She married David W. Cline on September 22, 1973.
Survivors include her loving husband, David Cline of Mattoon; her father, John Carlos Hood of Mattoon; her brother, William Joseph "Joe" Hood and wife Patty A. of Mattoon; her two sisters, Sara Elizabeth Hood and Carly Michelle Hood, both of Mattoon; her godson, Shane Paul Hood of Mattoon; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved pets, Sophie and Buddy.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Mrs. Cline was formerly employed with I.G.A. Foodliner, General Electric, Illinois Consolidated Telephone Company, and R. R. Donnelley & Sons for over twenty years.
She was a member of the Smyser Christian Church and was actively involved with the Babe Ruth Baseball League for over twenty years, serving as Coach's Wife, Assistant, and Team Grandma. Debbie enjoyed warm, sunny beaches, Caribbean cruises, watching her nephew during baseball season, and supporting her sisters playing in their many sports activities.

A taped recording of "I Can Only Imagine" by Mercy Me was played and the choral group, H.I.S., His In Service, performed "I'm Not Givin' Up," "Glory Road" and "We're Gonna Rise."
The pallbearers were Shane Hood, Edward Lane, David Finley, H.A. Youngblood, William Joseph Hood and Merl Cline Jr.
