Funeral rites for Mrs Ida Alice Casteel, 62, who died Tuesday afternoon at her home on Moulton highway, were held at 2 p.m. today at the residence. The Rev W W Aldredge officiated and Brown, of Decatur, was in charge of burial at Bald Knob cemetery in Lawrence county. The following were pallbearers: Daulty Morgan, Rich McCulloch, Jewel Roberts, Arthur Callahan, Charles Ferguson and D Montgomery.
Surviving are the husband, Burel Casteel; three daughters, Mrs H N Pettey, Decatur; Mrs W T Means, Decatur route 3; Mrs Clyde Rogers, Moulton route 2; two sons, Freeman and E W Casteel, Decatur route 3; two sisters, Mrs Austin Rays and Mrs Emmie Turner; her step-mother, Mrs Clarkie Moles. Six brothers, Orley, William, Frank, Thomas, Walter and Howard Moles. The following step-children also survive; Mrs C B Ferguson, Mrs George Thrasher, Mrs Annie Binson, Decatur; Mrs G W Hill, Decatur route 3; Mrs Cleve Griffin, Athens and Herman Casteel, Nashville.
