Frederick Scherer, age 82, a lifelong resident of German township, died last Wednesday after a long illness. He was a life member of St. James Lutheran church and had been very active in township and school affairs.
He is survived by his wife, Melissa, two daughters, Mrs. Ina Decker and Mrs. Erma Beck, both of Olney; one son, Orin Scherer of Olney, three brothers, Daniel, Chris and O. F. Scherer, all of Olney and one grand child.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the St. James Lutheran church and burial was at the Goss cemetery.
