Comedian, Author. He was the author of three bestsellers, "Ain't God Good," "Let the Hammer Down," and "Life Everlaughter." After his discharge from the United State Navy in 1946 he attended and graduated from Mississippi State with a degree in agriculture (the only member of the Grand Ole Opry with a degree in agriculture). Author of 4 books and 28 full recordings in his 27 years as a poplular country comedian with stories of the rural south. Willie Morris wrote that Clower's humor is "Rooted in a region, but is not regional." Laughter is the force that connects people from all regions in his work of art.
