Services for Mrs. Hjalmer T. Anderson, 58, 1803 17th St., who died at 1:15 A.M. Sunday in Swedish-American Hospital following a five week illness, will be held at 3 P.M. today in the Wilber Christenson funeral home.
A resident of Rockford for 32 years, Mrs. Anderson was born March 13, 1893 in Ottumwa, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Freed. She was a resident of Ottumwa for 25 years before moving to Rockford. She was married to Hjalmar T. Anderson March 20, 1920 in Geneva.
She attended Tabor Lutheran Church and was a member of Elvira Lodge, Order of Vasa and the Independent Order of Norden.
Surviving in addition to her husband and parents are two sons, Arnold F. and Albert W. Anderson and a daughter Mrs. Lennart Nelson all of Rockford; also two grandchildren: two sisters, Florence Freed, Ottumwa, and Mrs. Evelyn Steele, Eldon, Ia; three brothers, Carl, Elmhurst: Albert, Ottumwa: and Elmer, Washington DC. One sister, Ruth, preceded her in death.
