This community was grieved on Thursday Aug 17, when it was learned that Mrs. Chas. C. Leverenz had passed away at her home northeast of this village that afternoon. Mrs. Leverenz had been ill since last spring but was able to be about her home until some five days previous to her death when she was obliged to remain in bed. The deceased maiden name was Alma Reichardt and she was born in Maple Grove, Manitowoc County, Aug. 5, 1866 and resided there until her marriage to Mr. Leverenz in 1888. She was a woman of noble traits of character and a leading member of the German Methodist Church. The funeral took place from the home Sunday afternoon. She is survived by one son, Orin, father, four brothers and a sister. A number of relatives and friends from outside attended the funeral.
