Born March 14, 1926 in Daytona Beach, Florida, daughter of Henry Marion and Geneva Davis Gulledge. Married Wayne C. Dowdle September 9, 1944 in Daytona Beach, Florida; solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple May 18, 1951.
Active member of LDS Church. Celebrated 50 years of marriage September 9, 1994.
Survived by husband, Wayne, Salt Lake City; three sons and two daughters, Billie (G. Allen) Turner, Providence; Robert W. (Kathleen) Dowdle, Silverdale, Wash.; Ronald Keith (Gloria) Dowdle, Taylorsville; Lydia (Guy) Hart, Herriman; Paul D. (Jodie) Dowdle, Taylorsville; two nieces and two nephews, whom she took into her heart and home and raised as her own, Tracy Webb and Robert Gulledge, Salt Lake City; Wanda Jackson and Reno Gulledge, Florida; 22 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Winton Worley, South Carolina; sister, Mary Roberts, Tucker, Georgia; aunt and uncle, Ralston and Annie Spencer, Oakhill, Florida.
Funeral services will be held Monday, 12 noon, at the Taylorsville Stake Center, 1399 West 4800 South. Friends may call Sunday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Monday at the church, 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
