BETTY JEAN BRADLEY

Betty Jean (Crowley) Bradley was born in Albany, Georgia on January 23, 1949. She was the fourth child to Mattie Mae Crowley.

At an early age, the family moved from Albany to DeLand, Florida. Betty received her formal education in the Volusia County School System where she matriculated from Southwestern Junior-Senior High in 1968.

In that same year, Betty married her high school sweet-heart, Henry Bradley, Jr. The newlyweds moved to South Florida in 1969 where they pursued their careers and raised a family together. The couple shared 40 years of marital bliss together.

The Lord called Betty home on April 6, 2009. Betty was preceded in death by her mother, Mattie Mae and a sister, Estelle.

Betty's celebration of life will be remembered by her husband, Reverend Henry L. Bradley, Jr. of Pompano Beach, FL; four children: Tremerria of Pompano Beach, FL; Lervenda of Norcross, GA; Vena of Pompano Beach, FL and Henry III (Joy) of Powder Springs, GA; five grandchildren: Tyshawn, Marion, Trava, Mia and Meghan; surviving sister and brothers: Susie, Jack, John and Willie (Susan); loving nieces and nephews, Wendy, Dennis, Betty Jean, Michael, LaShon, Derrick, Montel, DaKia and Danielle; brothers and sisters-in-law: Joy (Thomas), William, Rose, Gertrude, Barbara (Charles), Juanita, Johnnie Mae, Janet, David (Cynthia) and Ivan (Tonya); along with a host of relatives and friends.

The Homegoing Celebration will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Greater Union First Baptist Church, 240 South Clara Avenue, DeLand, with Pastor Troy A. Bradley, Sr., officiating. Visitation will take place from 1 p.m. until service time at the church. Burial will follow the services at Union Cemetery, DeLand and a repast to follow the interment.
