Patricia Lou "Patty" (George) Grissom, 72, of Bedford died at 9:30 A.M. on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at her residence.

Born September 24, 1936 in Cale, IN she was the daughter of Louie D. and Josephine E. (Webster) George. She married Leslie Harley Grissom on October 25, 1951 and he preceded her in death on March 30, 2002. She was a member of the Williams First Baptist Church, an honorary lifetime member of the Bedford Boat and Sportsman's Club, and a member of the White River Bells. She worked at Visteon Systems LLC as a weldun line worker.

Survivors include her mother Josephine George of Bedford; one son Michael Leslie Grissom and his wife Jane Ann of Oolitic; one daughter Vicky (Grissom) Hicks and her husband Joe of Bedford; one granddaughter Amanda Jane (Grissom) Green and her husband Chris of Bedford; two grandsons Leslie Joe Hicks and his wife Kim of Bedford, and John Michael Harley Grissom of Oolitic; one great grandson Gavin Christopher Green of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her husband and her father.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 25th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Perry Tom East and Rev. Richard Tallman officiating. Friends may call from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 24th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
