Born Feb. 3, 1963, in Buffalo, he was a son of Donald and Betty Mae Fleming Smith. On June 23, 1984, in Levant, he married the former Suzanne L. Moore, who survives.
Mr. Chase was a graduate of Jamestown Community College and had attended Rochester Institute of Technology and the University of Buffalo.
He was employed by the New York State Department of Transportation in Rochester as a construction inspector.
Surviving besides his widow and his father of Grand Island are his adopted father, Daniel Chase of Williamsville; a sister, Beth Ann Chase of Williamsville; a brother, Dean Chase of Alden; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Ruth Fleming of Little Valley; and paternal grandfather, George Chase of York, Maine.
Friends may call at the Babbitt and Allen Funeral Home, 7 N. Main St., Franklinville, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday (April 18, 1986) at 11 a.m. in the Farmersville Baptist Church, Farmersville Station. The Rev. Stephen Spink, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Sandusky Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Franklinville Firemen's Ambulance Fund or the March of Dimes.
