Joseph R. Nosek, 69, of Olney, formerly of Clay City, died at 4:05 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2002 at Marks Sunset Manor.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Clay City Cemetery in Clay City.

Mr. Nosek was born on November 24, 1932, in Pana, the son of Michael and Goldie Idella (Caldwell) Nosek.

Mr. Nosek is survived by three sisters, Mary Bowen of Louisville, Katherine Oliver of Louisville and Sarah Gill and her husband, Jack of Salem; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Martin and Norman.
