Albert J. "Al" Klemme, 78. of 1810 W. Grand Ave. died 12:15 p.m. Tuesday (March 20, 1984) in his home. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Brintlinger's Pershing' Funeral Home, followed by Masonic rites, with visitation after 11:30. Burial will be. in Illini Cemetery, Warrensburg. Memorials: Oncology Department, Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Klemme was born in Maquoketa. Iowa, son of Fred and Katherine Klemme. He was a retired chef for Great Lakes Naval Station, a dual member and past master for both the Libertyville Masonic Lodge 492 AF&AM and Macon Masonic Lodge 8 AF&AM. a member of Macon Chapter 21 R.A.M.. Decatur Council 16 R&SM. Beaumanoir Commander 9 Knights Templar. Order of the Eastern Star Owen Scott Chapter 984, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 3, Bensonville. Lodge Council Chapter Consistory Valley of Chicago A n s a r . Shrine Temple, Springfield; president of 13th Eastern District of AF&AM Workers Club, member of American Legion Post 329, Libertyville, affiliated with Boiling Springs Church of God and a World War II veteran. He married Mary Hoag Roberts in 1952.
Surviving are his wife; daughter, Marjorie Warwick of Decatur; seven grandchildren; 17 greatgrandchildren: two great-great-grandchildren. Several brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
