Daniel R. Burd
Milford- Daniel Robert Burd of Moon Valley Road, Milford, Pa. A lifetime area resident and a long time proprietor of Danny's Texaco on Broad Street, died this morning April 27th, 1991 at Mercy Community Hospital, Port Jervis, NY. after a long illness.
Mr. Burd was 65.
He was born Feb 21st, 1926 in Newton, N.J., the son of Daniel Robert and Lottie Van Auken Burd. He married Beatrice Cron in Milford, Jan 24th, 1948.
Survivors include his wife at home; one daughter, Donna Meisenhelder of Milford, four sisters Gene Kuhn of Cahooonzie, NY, Frieda Robinson of Milford, Ida Michaels of East Stroudsburg, Pa, Gertrude Blunt of Blairstown, NJ., one grandson and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Burd was a US Navy Veteran of WWII, and a member of American Legion Post 945 of Wormeleysburg, Pa, and the Milford Volunteer Fire Department.
