Hollister resident Eleanor Kathryn Barulich died April 24 morning at the Mabie Skilled Nursing Facility at the age of 89. A native of San Francisco, Ms. Barulich spent most of her adult life in Salinas and moved to Hollister following her retirement in 1988. She had worked for nearly 40 years as a secretary with the Federal Land Bank. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hollister, Sacred Heart Altar Society, Legion of Mary and the Love Ministry. She is survived by her brother, Ed Barulich of Rodeo, and many nieces and nephews, including Mark Gibson and Ginger Lobec, both of Hollister. A rosary was recited April 25 at Grunnagle-Ament Funeral Home, and a Mass wascelebrated April 26 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hollister. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery in Hollister. Donations can be made to either Sacred Heart School, Fishes and Loaves or St. Benedict Building Fund.
