Father: Joseph Inkley
Mother: Ann Smith
Sarah Ann was born in England in 1833. Though she had joined the Church in 18/38 her father persuaded her to wait until she was twenty years old to come to America. She sailed from Liverpool on the ship "Ellen Marie" with Moses Clawson in charge of the group. When he was sick during the voyage she nursed him back to health. Moses was also Captain of the wagon train coming across the plains. They arrived in Salt Lake City 15 Sep 1855.

Moses' first wife died soon after he arrived in the Valley. He was thirty-two years older than Sarah Ann. They were married 25 Sep 1853. She took over the care of his children, and had thirteen children of her own. They lived in Ogden, then Springville, then were called to go to Southern Utah to make their home. It was here that Moses died in 1879 at the age of seventy-eight years. Sarah Ann later married Brigham Lamb, but could not abide his drinking habit, so she left him.

Sarah Ann had a beautiful singing voice. She always had a garden and chickens, did a lot of sewing, and nursed the sick.

She died in Charleston, Utah, 23 May 1823 at the age of ninety and is buried in Provo, Utah, Utah.
