Bernard LaVern Furgason, oldest son of Edward and the late Myrtle E. Furgason was born July 5, 1900 in Clinton, Michigan and passed away Sept. 24, 1945 in his home three miles southeast of Tecumseh at the age of 45 years, 2 months, and 19 days, spending all his life in Lenawee County except 6 years.

He was married February 25, 1922 to Lila Isabelle Matthews and was preceded in death by 3 sons, two dying in infancy and Gordon Lyle who gave his life to our country in Italy, Nov. 10, 1943.

Surviving besides the wife are 6 daughters, Mrs. Verna Cramer of Hudson, Vivian, Mary, Josephine, Shirley, and Ruth at home, and 3 sons Pfc. Glenn of Camp Blanding, Fla., Apprentice Seaman Gaylon of Great Lakes, Ill., and John William at home, his father Edward L. and a brother Leonard E both of Tecumseh, and a grandson, Wellington Cramer of Hudson, other relatives and a host of friends.
