Brenda I. Cooper, 62 years of age, of Science Hill, Kentucky, departed this life on Tuesday, April 7th, 2009 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.
Brenda was born in Science Hill, Kentucky on July 9th, 1946, daughter of Lois New Cooper and the late Carl Cooper. Brenda was a nurse's aide and hairdresser and worked at Oakwood and Midtown Nursing & Rehabilitation Centers in Somerset, Kentucky. She was a member of Acorn Church of God of Prophecy.
Brenda was survived by her mother, Lois New Cooper of Science Hill, Kentucky; two brothers, Larry David (and Darlene) Cooper and Carl "Boonie" Cooper Jr., both of Somerset, Kentucky; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Cooper; one brother, Gary Cooper; and her grandparents, Silas and Alpha New and Luther and Irene Cooper.
Visitations were held after 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10th, 2009 at the Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in Science Hill, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 11th, 2009 in the Chapel of the Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. David Muse and Bro. Bob Messer officiating.
Burial followed in the Science Hill Cemetery in Pulaski County, Kentucky.
